It Takes the Cake makes custom decorated cakes for all occasions and takes pride in helping make every celebration fun and memorable.  Sooo, just pick your colors and your cake size and let us give you something not only great looking, but affordable too.  It Takes the Cake to make the party complete!  We proudly serve the Metro Atlanta area.

If you want a large cake, but don't need all the servings, we can substitute some of the layers with decorated forms.  This is a great way to save money and still have the "huge cake" impact.  Another way to save money is to present a smaller decorated cake at the reception and then serve your guests from a sheet cake kept in the kitchen.

All cakes are baked and decorated on site (We are located in Lawrenceville, Georgia.), and are made from the freshest ingredients available.

  • "Table Cakes" (one centerpiece cake for each table)

  • Cakes based on Bride's Dress or Invitations
  • Turquoise, Coral, Pink Champagne, Platinum, Bold Colors
  • Black & White are still going to show up
  • Monogrammed cakes are still in 

Gender Reveal Cakes      Make your discovery of the gender of your baby fun!  Have a Gender Reveal Party.   Before you leave the doctor's office from your sonogram, call your baker and have the nurse or receptionist tell them your baby's gender.  Make sure you don't hear.  Then later at the party, cut the cake in front of all your friends and family and find out together.  The outside of your cake will be decorated with both pink and blue.  The inside of the cake will be pink or blue (boy or girl) with white filling, or we can just make the filling pink or blue with your favorite cake flavor.
