A Few Things to Remember -- All in Good Fun
(adapted from Sugar Kneads)
One shall not expect us to be mind readers, please be as specific as you can.
One shall not come in with pictures of $500 cakes and expect the same cakes from us to be $100.
If we are open and one gets the voice mail, we are busy, not watching TV. Please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as we can.
One is not entitled to a "tasting" when ordering a cake priced below $100.
Thou shalt not send one's husband, sister or nephew to pick up your cake if they cannot be trusted to do so. Driving like Mario Andretti is not conducive to the happiness (safety) of your cake.
Thou shalt realize our cakes are art and must be handled carefully. For transportation, our cakes need a large flat surface on the floor of your vehicle, which you can access without tilting or jamming the box or cake in.
Thou shalt not freak out if your custom cake does not come with a box or lid. We make custom cakes, not custom boxes.
Thou shall not call our store and ask if we make cakes, “ya know like, birthday cakes,” If one insists on asking, one should not be surprised when someone tells you “no we make shoes here."
Thou shalt realize we are not Publix, Wal-Mart, Kroger, Ingles, or Sam’s Club.
Thou shalt realize that prices are subject to change without notification or apologies. Just because your cake was $100 last year does not mean it will forever be $100.
Thou shalt be charged an aggravation fee if it takes you 45 minutes and fifty questions to order a sheetcake. If you’re not sure what will look good, trust us to design something beautiful.
